About Us

Sharnam Sansthan is a non-profit voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It was formed in year 2000 by a small group of professionals and social development activists for making positive developmental changes in society. Sansthan is running various social and developmental activities in rural & urban slum areas of Uttar Pradesh. 

Sharnam Sansthan is committed for the development of underprivileged, deprived & marginalized sections of society. It works to promote integrated and self -sustaining development of society by uplifting the deprived, down trodden, vulnerable and exploited groups like Children, Women, Differently Challenged (Mentally retarded) Children. Major interventions of organization are in the areas of Mother & Neonatal Health Care, HIV prevention, Care & Support to PLHA (People living with HIV/AIDS), Promotion of Family planning Services and Promotion of Advance Technology for Agriculture Development.

For promotion of Girls Education, Sansthan has opened a Junior High School in Barabanki in name of Sharnam Educational Academy. Organization has rejuvenated people to empower them against Exploitation, Illiteracy, Poor health and Poverty through enhancing their knowledge, capacity for increasing their accessibility to available resources & opportunities.

Sharnam is working with various National and International social developmental agencies i.e.  CARE India,  BAIF, PLAN India,  Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT), U.P. State AIDS Control Society (UPSACS),  National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Uttar Pradesh Mahila Kalyan Nigam (U.P.M.K.N), Department of Education under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan , Ministry of Environment & Forest.

Sharnam Sansthan has it’s head office in Lucknow city and project offices are in Aligarh, Barabanki, Bahraich, Hathras, Sitapur and Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh.
